Michael Bontekoe, MS, PA-C is a Nationally Board Certified Physician Assistant. He completed his medical degree at Central Michigan University where he received his Master of Science Degree in Medicine along with a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation. He was awarded a Graduate Assistantship at Central Michigan University where he taught Human Gross Anatomy for three consecutive years. He has practiced in Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease and was credentialed as an HIV Specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine in 2002-2003. Michael is also credentialed in Surgery from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and trained at Cedar Sinai Medical Center. He is an Associate Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Michael Bontekoe practices medical and cosmetic dermatology. He manages various skin conditions including rashes, acne, warts, sexually transmitted diseases, infections of the skin, hair, and nails and skin cancers. He also specializes in skin diseases associated with HIV. He performs simple and complex surgical excisions, biopsies, and destruction of lesions. In addition to medical dermatology, he performs the latest techniques in Botox, Restylane, Fotofacial RF, and non-surgical face lifts with the Polaris WR laser.
