What is it?

How long does it take?
- Usually takes several treatments. Your Hair Removeal Specialist can discuss your individual case.
- Treatments must be one month apart.
- Each body part takes a different amount of time per session.
- Minimal recovery time, generally regular activities resume same day.
Can it be used on me?
- Can be used on any skin type and race, but must be minimum of two weeks with no sun exposure to desired area.
- Can be used on any body part that can be shaved.
- Generally does not work on blond, red, or grey hair.
- Must avoid tattoos.
- Works best on coarse hair, but will work on finer hair in most cases.
How does it feel?
- Procedure is uncomfortable with a stinging or snapping sensation. Topical anesthetic or numbing cream is recommended and applied a minimum of 30 minutes prior to treatment.
- Anesthetic cream is covered by some insurances. Prescription can be called into pharmacy if needed.
- Anesthetic cream is also available at office.
What do I have to do before the procedure?
- Absolutely no sun exposure for 2 weeks prior to treatment on area to be lasered.
- Must not wax or pluck hairs for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.
- Shave the area to be treated the morning of the appointment. OK to use Nair of similar products, but no hot wax!
